England v Wales International Curtain Raiser 05 Mar 2009
Location:Boston United, York Street, Boston The school team travelled the short distance to Boston United to play against three other local teams. The team arrived at 5.00 and warmed up ready for their first game against Butterwick Primary. From the start Tower Road dominated the play creating lots of chances and finally scoring with a quick break. The game continued in this pattern with Tower Road running out winners comfortably 1-0. With the start of the International game it was time to put track suits on and keep as warm as possible on a chilly night. At the break it was out again against St. Thomas' Primary School in the final. Again Tower Road dominated the play creating many chances, giving the St. Thomas keeper a busy ten minutes. The game ended 0-0, despite this. On a count back on corners, Tower Road ran out winners 3-1.
