Woodthorpe Cup Final
On Wednesday 31th March 2010 Tower Road primary school’s Boys football team won the Woodthorpe cup! The game held at Tower road school was against Carlton Road school who showed to be a strong team.
Managed by Mr Bashford, Tower Road kicked off brilliantly in the first half against head wind with some great shots on goal. 0-0 half time.
After the team talk at half time and the wind on our side we had several shots on target but not scoring. Ben took a free kick from past the half way line only to hit the corner post and rebound off.
Still chances came but still no score.

Extra time now had to be played 5 minutes each way. We kicked off with the wind against us again. Then Jordan scored a great goal in the second minute of extra time shortly followed by another goal from Harry.
